Snowden gives an eclectic view of the IT profession to SHARE User Event attendees.
Two high-profile general sessions complemented the attendee experience. The first, Dave Snowden of the Cynefin Centre for Organisational Complexity delivered an eclectic view of the IT profession during his keynote presentation to all co-located SHARE User Event attendees on Monday, August 16. Snowden reviewed how IT management formulates decisions, such as making a decision after hearing the first best approach, making a decision out of habit, and making decisions based on hierarchy. He then discussed how to change these decision methods. "The minute a measure becomes a target, it ceases to be a measure," stated Snowden.
