Satya Sharma is a Distinguished Engineer and Chief UNIX Architect at IBM Corporation. In this role, he is responsible for setting technical strategy, direction and roadmap of IBM's UNIX software - AIX. Recently, he has been driving the following key technologies:
- Scalability
- Virtualization: Logical Partitioning (LPAR), Virtual I/O, Virtual Ethernet, etc.
- InfiniBand-Based Clustering
- Workload and Resource Management
- Accounting / Chargeback
This session will focus on these key technologies and review IBM’s overall strategic direction for UNIX.
